Hogsthorpe Lakes is operated by Hogsthorpe Investments Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13526541, with its registered office at 123 Priestsic Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, NG17 4EA.

2. The information we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, which lodge you are interested in, the dates you have in mind, the number of adults, children and babies in your party, whether you are bringing a dog, and anything you tell us in the special requirements box.
If you contact us by telephone or email instead, we collect whatever you choose to tell us in that conversation.
Our website host also keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address of visitors, as part of running and securing the site.
Please only tell us what is relevant to your stay. If you mention health, mobility or accessibility needs so that we can look after you properly, we will use that information only for that purpose.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To answer your enquiry and discuss availability. Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
To manage your booking and your stay. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you.
To send you occasional marketing emails. Our lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the enquiry form. You can withdraw it at any time.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations. Our lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with suppliers who process it on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions:
Our website host, Hostinger, which stores the site and its server logs.
Microsoft, which provides the Outlook mailbox that enquiries are delivered to.
Contact Fusion, which provides the enquiry management system we use to follow up and to send booking and marketing messages on our behalf.
We may also share information where we are required to by law, or with our professional advisers where necessary.
Some of these suppliers may store or process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, it is done under the safeguards required by UK data protection law. The exact arrangements are being confirmed.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for a limited period so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, and are then deleted.
Booking records are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for tax and accounting purposes, which is normally six years after the end of the relevant financial year.
The exact retention period for unsuccessful enquiries is being confirmed.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

This website currently uses only the cookies necessary for it to work and to stay secure. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies at present.
If analytics or advertising tools are added in future, we will publish a separate cookie policy and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.
